I’ve never been shy about my admiration for reggae, rocksteady, and ska. Throw in some killer musicianship and I’m hooked. The Cascadians have constructed an incredibly smooth and lovable live EP. When I was turned on to it I must have played it 10 times collectively that day at home, in the studio and at the office.

In buiding punk rock songs I’m always looking for dynamics that are ever changing to keep the listener on their toes and continuously interested through out the record. The Cascadians have definitely accomplished that creating a musical landscape that takes you someplace else for 15 minutes. The covers are bold choices for anyone, but their renditions are powerful and bring out some new vibes in the old songs. I really dig them! Masterfully tracked by Noah Merrill and mixed by Nicholas Matta this record sounds fucking great.

Now go check it out!
